What is EcoSmart Filter?

EcoSmart Filter is a free service that allows you to block annoying ads, disable tracking, block domains known to spread malware and adult content. EcoSmart Filter uses filters to block all unwanted elements.

How does EcoSmart Filter work?

Unlike AdBlock Plus and other ad blockers, EcoSmart Filter does ad filtering on its own servers (not on users computers like its usually done), so that users do not download any advertising content on their computers. This helps to significantly minimize internet traffic as well as to save on computer power and memory consumption.

What browsers can be used with EcoSmart Filter?

EcoSmart Filter is available for all internet browsers on Windows. It does ad filtering for all web traffic no matter what your browser is, which makes it extremely easy to use - you don`t have to download a separate adblock plugin for every browser.

How do I start using the service?

In order to get started, please go to our download page or press any “Download and Setup” button on the site. Please make sure to close all opened browsers before the process. You would need to confirm the installation and after a quick setup configuration, EcoSmart Filter will be ready to go. In the opened browser tab choose the required filtering options.

How to remove EcoSmart Filter?

In Chrome
  1. Click the Customize and control menu icon on the Google Chrome toolbar
  2. Navigating to More Tools
  3. Select More tools from the menu
  4. Select Extensions from the side menu
  5. Click the trash can icon link next to the extension you wish to remove
In Firefox
  1. Click the menu button and choose Add-ons. The Add-ons Manager tab will open.
  2. In the Add-ons Manager tab, select the Extensions or Themes panel.
  3. Select the add-on you wish to remove.
  4. Click the Remove button.

Does EcoSmart Filter collect any of user data?
